LOOK | Pinoy 'Arcane' cosplay group pulls out all stops in an astounding photoshoot
The Netflix show Arcane: League of Legends has gained popularity because of its powerful and nuanced storytelling, matched with its distinctive animation and visual style. It has the highest Rotten Tomatoes user score (100%), the highest IMDB score (9.1) of any Netflix original series, and notably receiving one of IGN’s first 10/10 ratings as well.
Since its release last November 2021, we’ve seen how it went viral across different platforms, featuring amazing cosplays and make-up transformations from around the world – and the local community was, of course, also ahead of the game.
But what we haven’t seen is a collaboration of several up-and-coming cosplayers, costume makers, crafters, photographers and artists – to masterfully recreate scenes and portray characters from the hit show.

The passionate team, who are also good friends and share their love for Arcane, started preparations for the shoot since November 2021 after the show premiered on Netflix. They pulled out all the stops to do it justice – getting help from the best in the community to put together screen-accurate costumes and props; and also studying how to transform themselves with make-up to match the show’s visual style.
The venue, Zeppelin Lounge, depicts the setting of the show perfectly. Photographers Erving Go and Kira Hokuten, both well-known in the cosplay community for their craft, worked with incredible efficiency and creativity given the limited time at the venue, and limited capacity as well due to safety measures.

The work doesn’t end after the shoot. Zackt skillfully post-processed the photoset to capture the tone of the show, making the photos really pierce through the screen, captivating viewers.
Follow the team for more upcoming projects, and feel free to get in touch with them for collaborations.
