'Superman' actress Margot Kidder, the actress best known for playing Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve in the original “Superman” films, has died, Variety reported.

She was 69.

The actress died in her sleep at her home on Sunday in Livingston, Montana, her publicist Camilla Fluxman Pines confirmed to Variety.
